Alison Kole Season 5 Episode 7

Parul Yadav, MD, is an OB-GYN who has transitioned into a successful career as a medical writer. After completing her medical training and practicing as an OB-GYN in India, she moved to the United States and completed a residency in OB-GYN at Baystate Medical Center, UMass School of Medicine, affiliated with Tufts University. Her clinical experience, both internationally and in the U.S., has given her a broad and deep understanding of medicine, which she now channels into creating high-quality, evidence-based medical content. Today she joins me to  discuss the intricate relationship between menopause and sleep, focusing on the prevalence of sleep problems among women entering menopause. They explore the symptoms of perimenopause, the hormonal changes that affect sleep, and the long-term health consequences of menopause. The conversation also highlights the importance of lifestyle changes, the role of hormone replacement therapy, and emerging alternatives for managing menopausal symptoms. The episode emphasizes the need for education and shared decision-making in women's health.

Through her company, InPrint Medical Communications, Parul works with various healthcare stakeholders—including pharmaceutical companies, CME providers, and medical organizations—to develop educational materials, needs assessments, literature reviews, and patient resources.
